This floor mat / wall paneling tatami has been designed to accentuate its beautifully detailed weaving. There are few modern interior designs that can skillfully incorporate the spirit of tatami, but by making it into small floor mats sized similarly to bricks, tatami can be used in a manner similar to wooden flooring. Instead of being used as tatami mats traditionally have been, we envision it being used as a new type of flooring material that can be utilized in all interior designs, bringing with it the pleasant aroma and natural feeling of soft rush. We make it possible for floors to be covered in natural tatami that is modern, yet maintains its introspective feeling.

He has diverse design and production experience in numerous genres ranging from portable terminals to automobiles, tour buses and other vehicles, residential homes, interior design, art spaces, furniture, and industrial products. Starting with sales to the Museum of Modern Art in New York, he has participated in exhibits in many countries. He is the recipient of many awards including several Good Design Awards.
